Default Starter (time sensitive)

Issue: I just put in a starter from discount. I tested it, and it is in good working order.

I attached both the clip and power terminal to the starter, put both bolts in, and reattached the b attery.

When I went to start the car, all power shuts off. It does not crank.

If anybody could please help i would appreciate it.

sounds like dead battery to me. Pretty common in summer months for them to die unexpectedly. Crazy coincidence, I changed out my tails to Evo 9 tails, and my car wouldn't start. Thought the new tails shorted something, nope, just a dead battery
