Everyone knows I am a huge fan of methanol.
Nitro should never be considered in a street car.
Even in a injection system.
The fumes are deadly toxic.
After the first of the year when tournament season slows down my new prodject will begin.
Still undecided as to if it will be another street car or all out race.
If its a street car it will run meth injection or E98 if it becomes available.
If I do a race car like Joes it will run strait methanol.
Race gas has become to expensive and just doesnt make the power alcohol does.

I agree with Jerry on nitrous. Its to much of pain to depend on when using on the street. How many times have we all heard the excuse my bottles low.

As for Ian you just have to know him. He is actualy a nice guy that can be very helpfull. People who dont know me tend to think I am a asshole also.

 

It isnt so much being nice. He just comes off as a stuck up dick on the forums. Maybe different offline. I dont know you. I have had a couple conversations with you. Didnt think you were an asshole. You didnt come off as you knew everything and everyone's opinions that differ are shit, etc.

 

I've built plenty of cars and I'm in the process of building one now but I'm doing things with it that are still in the un-tested realm. A lot of custom made parts by me so it takes time. I would run straight meth in the new car but then I couldn't run in the street classes. If you want any proof that a straight meth car is better go to any drag racing event and ask anyone running faster then 8's what they are running and 99% will say meth/alcohol. It's not something that I need to prove by doing, it's already been proven and is done. Just because I have not built a car myself that runs what I preach doesn't mean I don't know what I'm talking about. Many people know plenty about things they have not built for themselves.

The galant is almost done why don't you plan on bringing your car to orlando and we can test out exactly what i "know". Don't be scared of an auto 4door.

And it's the internet. Get over it. Plenty of the people on this board know how I am in person and we have no quarels like the brothers, tom, joe, blah blah blah. If you get butt hurt over the way something is said over the internet I think the person who needs to get a life isn't me but you.

i dont know 4door in real life, but i remember years back i always got a kick out of reading his threads lol.

now, about the saftey of meth injection..... the alkycontrol.com kits have a pressure sensor built in, you have an led which turns red when the pump is on, then when you get line pressure, it will send more voltage to the led and it will turn green, well, you can wire that pressure sensor into a relay along with an electronic boost controller, the boost controller will only hit high boost when you have line pressure, you could also just wire the relay into the power of the boost controller, and it will turn on when you get line pressure, and if you lose pressure, it will turn off and the boost will drop down to wastegate spring pressure. my wastegate goes as low as about 11psi, which is not near enough to really hurt anything. its also good to have a knock light of some sort hooked up, it will let you know to let off quickly.

Don't be scared of my car either it's just a 5spd 2 door ... Speed is all relivent . Your car might be fast , but I doubt it lol
