does anyone else have a galant?
This thread makes me think of this:

For the cost of it I think a vr4 swapped 8g galant is a waste of money. You can get an ls1/trans/ecu for $1500 pretty much anywhere these days and the rear ends are cheap also. You could use a ford 8.8 and do a 4link for under 500 and it would hold it just fine. Make more power, more tq and be more dependable. Oh yea and save on gas also. I wouldn't suggest this unless you knew of a shop that could do this for you or you had the equipment, time and know how to do this on your own.
Mark's Auto Galant VR4 is nice, 10.50(with nitrous) in a full weight galant is no joke. I wouldn't expect anything else less out of a car coming out of a place like that. Mark's actually the 2nd person to do the auto swap and I'm the 3rd(Ironically all cars are white). A local here in orlando was the first one to do the swap in his garage. We bought an auto parts car together, i kept the longblock and he took all the auto stuff. With the semi success he had with his car going 11.0 @126(no nitrous) missing a gear and breaking parts is what made me want to do the swap. I was not happy with some of the choices(since there is still little in places to go) on some of the auto aftermarket stuff so my company now offers restalled stock auto converters with some different things done that has yet to be seen in our part of the performance world. My car was planned to be finished by the end of this month but plans have changed with moving and have been set back a little.

The price is the reason i sold and purchased an eclipse. Even turboing a Galant is not price effective. Not to mention you would have to shave 1000lb off the car just to be able to keep up to a stock srt-4
