i think its the "i can drink a whole 6-pack of smirnoff and that guy can only drink a fifth of jim beam" mentality.

one last fact im going to state, drew at darkside performance offered to sell me a jdm cyclone motor. a JAPANESE DOMESTIC DIAMOND STAR CYCLONE MOTOR. so whether there are jdm eclipses or not, one thing is for sure, the motors are.

Those would be out of the Evo 1,2,3 if I'm not mistaken but I don't take the time to research the motors. Evo 4+ had the flipside motors. Ah, the Mitsubishi Mirage days... when everyone was trying to perform these swaps and there's a lot of them out there now. I've been Mitsubishi fried out lol but even though I technically don't own one anymore I still like learning.

dsms arent jdm because they were not produced in japan but the joint venture between chrysler and mitsu. the JDM engines are from the old evos. you guys prolly said all this but im at work and im not gona read. there were dsms in japan but they were imported from the us. i know for a fact 1gs. havent seen too many pics of 2gs except for the edm dsms. like edm tail lights and mirrors.i dont even know what the hell i was saying damn i want to go home.

the link is on the first page.
it says "mitsubishi of japan" set up the promotion and built 15 gull-winged eclipses. also, all the pictures show japanese backgrounds.
edit: heres the link that whitefwddsm originally posted up Japanese Gull-Winged Eclipses
and on a personal note, i would never pay $50,000 for these shitboxes
