Default GSX strengths and weaknesses

It seems that 500 HP GSX isn't that uncommon. Good
My question is, what on the drive train needs upgraded to handle the hard launches?
i know the tranny is a weak point and the EVO transfer case is stronger, so with those aside, what else would need upgraded to handle a hard launch, often.

most people use stock stuff and are fine. im using stock stuff. tom n. made 600whp on mostly stock drivetrain components. i think he had a few things in the tranny strengthened like the shift rails, but it was basically factory components for the most part.

Both the EVO tranny and transfer case are real beefy.

I wish I would have taken pics but I have been there when Jerry taken one apart to fix and you can just immediately tell the difference.

Keep in mind that the EVO is heavier so it has to be stronger!

damn, even heavier than an ecplise. I consider an ecplise to be heavy, the evo must be like a frickin tank....
but that would make since that the evo parts would be beefer if the car was heavier...

well if u got a 3 bolt rear end (90 or 91) that could be a weak spot but it still ussualy will go into the low 12s without a problemb. 400awhp cars can potentialy snap axles aswel.
