Default problem with grinding

have a question...sometimes when i try and throw my car in reverse, i end up grinding the gear. i'll have the clutch all the way down, and even push it down slowly cuz ppl have told me maybe i was pushing it down too fast. i'll try about 3 times and it'll grind everytime, but then if i put it in first it goes fine, then ill just keep the clutch down and throw it reverse and it'll be fine. any idea what this could be from?

i have never had a transmission that didnt do this. ive been through 2 different trannys, and had 1 of them rebuilt about 3 times, and i have always had this problem. one thing that helps, is putting it in 4th gear before you go to reverse. when i do that it doesnt grind.

you have to reset the synchros, pretty much every dsm ive had has had that problem, just go to first and then reverse. its not that hard and works alot better than sitting there grinding the shit out of your gears.

for some reason going from 4th to reverse works the best for me. and you have to jam it into reverse sometimes. just quickly and lightly slam it into reverse, not too hard though.

another thing....make sure the car isnt rolling either when selecting reverse.....like taking off the e-brake rolling backwards out of the driveway,ya can feel the tranny shudder because it doesnt have a syncro.
