Default Fan Question

On a 2G, if your looking at the engine bay from the front of the car, the fan on the right only comes on when you have the a/c on right? Or am i thinking of a different car? I took my a/c out and if that fan isnt doing anything to cool the radiator, i want to take it out of there.

you can wire it (jumper wire between the relays) to come on with the radiator fan, but yeah, the one on the drivers side is the a/c fan

unless your turbo is too big to keep it in there then why not just leave it?

the cooler the better IMO

Well the turbo isnt too big but the aluminum radiator is a little thicker than stock which is fine for a t-25 but with the 16G, it looks like the wastegate actuator and flapper could have been hitting the back of the fan, causing it not to open at its full potential. Took the car to work last night and i think i was right, the boost creep doesnt seem quite as bad, but not a very noticable difference. Plus the tubular manifold/turbo were getting so hot that some of the blades on the fan were badly warped and melted. I might go with some slim fans once i go to the external wastegate, and dont have to worry about the flapper clearence issues. Thanks for the help guys.
