Wanted to get everyones opinion on this...I wanna keep things very cool in the engine bay but at the same time i dont wanna get a carbon fiber functional hood...its a little too much for my taste...but then saw this mod on dsmtuners.com and well...tell me what you guys think...ohh and i already have 4 slim fans trying to keep things cold.

Not a bad mod for $5. I dont really like the way it looks though. What about an aluminum hood with vents already in it? Or a Carbon Fiber hood just painted over to match the rest of the car?

 

Eh I really dont like tha way it looks either. Its a cheap and easy way to keep everything cool

i've heard of people unbolting the hood from the hinges and inserting a few washers to rais the hood in the back, in effect producing a cowl hood. havent done it, or seen it on an eclipse though.
in theory it would work. air rushing in through the front, hot air getting sucked out the top/back.
