i have a 95 gst i was driving it home approx. 4 miles i wasnt runnin the shit out of it or racing. the turbo started to howl like a ghost, well it did that for about 2 miles then the turbo completley stopped working, and now smoke is pouring out of the exhaust and somewhere in the engine compartment, the motor isnt knocking and it isnt idling funny therefore i dont think the motor is blown. if the turbo goes out will smoke bellow out of the motor??? please give me some advise on this

turbo blew, and its probably sending oil all through the engine.

 

what exactly do i have to do? replace the turbo? or do i have to spend a week replacing the turbo plus other things??

check to see if the oil ran through your intercooler piping and stuff. if it did, i would just clean all of the piping and intercooler out. other than that i would just get a new turbo.

 

i hope thats just it thanx again for your help, also what kind of turbo can i put on it. should i use the same t25 or can i go with something bigger.
keep in mind i have a stock motor with 180k on it

 

Check your feed line & return line to see if they are leaking. Is there oil all over the engine bay?

 

no engine bay is clean, im taking the turbo off in right now ill keep you posted
