Default I Hate My Dsm!!!

the god damn thing broke down again. it first started with a light tick, then as i came near work something was rubbign causing it to knock. The engine didnt wanna rev too much. at the light it shut off finallly it over heated and had to wait 1 hr to get it towed. Trbotalon90 stopped by to help said a pulley might have came off. any how dsms suck hairy old saudi arabian camel balls. if this isnt an easy fix i think its time to get rid of it..as a whole or maybe part it out. what a fuckin waste of 2 years of my life. thanks guys for reading..

it is possible the pulley loosened on your waterpump which would also cause the alternator to stop charging and your car would overheat. hope everything turns out ok with it though. keep us updated

Welcome to my world. Just buy a newer different car like I did. Saves headaches... saves money in the long run. These DSM's are not worth it, took me 5 yrs to learn that. I was working on the car every other day or almost everyday after work and then my weekends were shot working on the car as well. It gets old, body takes a toll... not too mention all the damage you do to yourself working on a car that holds no real value. Get it running... get rid of it or just part it out whichever you feel you can get money out of and then get yourself something better.

These threads are becoming more common, there's a solution only a few I've seen in this Tech take a different route.

my friend told me to check my wp. but at the same tiem the car doesnt wanna rev too high and it feels like somethign wants the motor not to stay on like someone is putting a vise grip on it and slow down all the belts. for a split second the car locked up and i was doing 30 and heard the tires skid and i dunno what happened.. yeah i think honda. ona side note how much you think i could sell her for..or would it be better to bring her back to stock and part out the gofast?

What mods do you currently have? Also you have to think on what price ranges you would use when parting out the remainder of the car. To see if thats worth it or bringing it back to stock is better.

Right now there's a problem or even problems which are undetermined. I say once you know whats wrong with the car make your decision then.

might be the tranny, that happened to me, knocking started, then the tires locked up, and the car did overheat since it was putting extra stress on the engine

Why are so many DSM'rs having all these problems? I drive my car every day with no issues, drove with the wife and kid 100mi to the race track made a few passes and drove back another 100mi (most said I was crazy for doing it) , anyways, hopefully it's a easy fix.
