cant the vin number show if it has abs or not?

The easiest method to finding out if you have ABS is locating that damn box with the lines coming out of it. Its right there in your face when you pop the hood. You can miss it. If you have the box infront of your battery then you have ABS. Its that simple... searching VIN and all that bologne takes to much time.

isnt the box in front of the battery for cruise control?? mine has the throttle cable goin threw it

Thats because yours is a 90. 90's have the cruise control box there. Only year to have them there. 91-94 have the cruise control box behind the intake manifold... up on the firewall.

funny, i have the cruise control box behind the intake manifold, and no box infront of the batt. for abs, lol and omg!!! more bad news about my car... the valve seals are bad.... gotta get that fixed now.. damm DSM, and the new turbo worked very nicely tho.

Valve stem seals they go bad, look how old the motor is haha. But if you own a DSM its gotta smoke lol.

dont tell me that, lol my car. engine and all only has 97k miles on it, but the seals are be replaced as we speak, lol hope it doesnt smoke any more.
