Default 1st to 2nd grind

i need some opinions. beforei came to florida my car was shifting great never a grind. before i made my journey here i changed all the fluids. and put BG2 in the tranny..and i noticed up here it grinds 1st to 2nd bad. i have ot shift at 2k for it not to grind.. my question is..could it be my fluid is too thin, especially with the heat..i was thinking of trying redline shckprf since its thicker and no blending fluids althought i heard mtl 90 is good too. but i want to make sure..what are you thoughts. or do i have to come to the fact that all of sudden my synchros are jacked?

sounds like synchros are jacked, the car won't shift without grinding at higher rpm because the synchros are to worn to bring the spinning gear to a stop. I thicker oil might help alittle but you will eventually need to rebuild

Try royal purple. You can find it at pretty much any automotive store for about $7/quart.

Royal Purple wholesale is $7 and retail $9-11 as far as running straight shockproof it is too thick and will cause hard shifting, replace the 2nd gear synchro and no more grinds

Isn't a better combo shockproof and synchromesh? Or am I just repeating the same stuff as above.

Ditch the stuff you have and get royal purple. Drain your tranny fluid and flush it with automatic transmission fluid. Drive it around for about 10 miles with the auto tranny fluid and then put the royal purple in there. It will be a night and day difference.
