Default ecu

is there any way to tell if an ecu is bad or is going bad?

pull the ecu out if it is the silver box it has four screwson the side and if it is the black box there are tabs were the plugs are the look at the board see if it is burned

burns would be black spots on the board or on the circuitry, and possibly broken connections too right?

well im going to be getting an eprom soon, i hope, if its not sold yet. so ill be replacing the ecu. im going to try (more like forced) to get dsmlink going, and have a pretty good look at whatever is happening. i wish there was something that could say the exact specific problems with your car lol

You would see orange acidy corrosion shit, like a bad battery, and smell like fish. I know the 1G ones make clicking noises, but dont know about 2G's. Good call for the eprom, be prepared to pay for it though. Thanks for the injector advice.
