Boost leak testing question
pvc is measured differently than turbo inlets....if your inlet is a 4inch, if you buy a 4 icnh pvc cap, it will be too big, so bring your turbo coupler inside with you if you can and match it up like that. or bring a measuring tape and measure the inside diameter of your couple and then measure the outside diameter of the pvc.

i bought a pvc end cap that fits perfectly in the intake/turbo coupler. then i put a %$#^# valve (tire valve stem) in the "end" part of it. i couldnt use a bike pump because if there are any leaks, the air leaked out faster than i could pump.
a lot of air compressors are loud too, much too loud to hear an air hiss. one thing you could do is get one of those tanks that you fill up with an air compressor, and use that. you could probably find one with a gauge on it for a set psi. it would probably be very silent too. the soapy water is a good trick too, just spray it on welds, couplers, and the bov flange.
if you have a boost controller, dont worry about blowing your head or too much pressure, because the wastegate will open at the certain psi level.

I don't have a MBC, nor the stock BCS. The car is just running off the wastegate. I need to buy an MBC. I got the car without anything to control the boost.
The boost leak tester I made fits nicely on the 14b.
99.9% of the FMIC install is done. I also put in a new o-ring on my BISS and followed the directions I got from a few websites. I'm going to finish the FMIC install in the morning. The weather was crappy today and I kept having to go to different stores to buy pieces and parts.
After all that is finished I will then run a boost leak test.
Thanks for all the help!
