how to adjust clutch peddal?
I was just wondering how to adjust the clutch pedal and was wondering what the litle hydrolic mechanism is attached to the cluch peddal it has a spring aroudn the hydroulic and needed to know if it contains fluid.
heres a pic of what you will see you losen the lock nut (12mm wrench), and then if you need the clutch to engage closer to the floor twist the rod outward (away from the master cylinder), and if you need the clutch to grab farther away from the floor, twist the rod toward the master cylinder.

You just saved my clutch. The clutch catches really well now. I guess the twat that instaled the new master cylinder didnt tighten the bolt and had it engage way too high.
i dont mean to jack this thread, but i kinda have a problem with mine...
if i adjust my clutch, it will work beautifully. a little bit of freeplay, and shifts perfect and everything. but if i drive a long distance, say, from ulmerton and seminole blvd to ulmerton and 275, (i know thats not a horribly long distance) the clutch seems to get stiffer, and eventually it slips. what could this possibly mean?
the way it is adjusted right now(so there is no slippage) is complete shit. first of all, its completely engages when im punching the clutch petal through the floor board. on cold mornings its hard as hell to shift, and i have to shift to 2nd, and then 1st, to get it in 1st. also, i have to shift to 4th gear first, and then into reverse, to get it into reverse. i have horrible track times because 2nd or 3rd gear will miss at high rpms, or i have to wait a second and then shift into 2nd, or 3rd. any idea what could be wrong?
oh and yes i know how to drive a 5-speed.

^you sure your synchros aren't going or your clutch? It sounds like your clutch. Especially if your in a high RPM range and it won't let you go into gear as soon as you let off the gas pedal and RPM's drop a bit then it goes into gear. But I might be wrong but this is the samething that my girlfriends 2g is doing and her clutch pedal gets the same way as yours, she's yet to replace her clutch. I get in my 2g which the clutch was replaced about 5 months ago or so and my pedal is a lot softer then her's and I have no problems getting into gears at high RPM ranges.
