one of my boys from ny has a 63t in a starion i asked and he said hes using a dodge d50 2.0 2wd tranny. he said it was pretty much a bolt on affair. Hes being gay so thats all the info i could get.

he said hte hardest part was getting hte clutch to work
drill a fwd dsm flywheel for the pilot bearing and get a custom clutch
TaLoNtId324: and swap the tail shaft housing over from the starion tranny or you gotta cut the floor
TaLoNtId324:
yes
AnThOnYbMe:
ok thats enough
TaLoNtId324: or you can do a wide block 4g64 rebuild it to turbo specs and bolt the starion tranny to with

Stock tranny is AT, I dont think it bolts to the 4g63. Im sure there is one person on the board that has a toyota tranny. I cant find it in the search though.

I cant find the wideblock 46g3 anywhere so far. It is quite elusive.

You misinterpret...The starion in question is an AT.

Wideblock (SOHC)4g63 came in some aussie starions and a few other vehicles I can't recall. Supposedly it is a direct drop in, then you change the guts from a turbo short block. Im not sure if the shortblock ( DOHC) head will fit it though.
