Default 1g Head

Earlier today my friend gave me a 1g head with bent valves. I was thinking about building it and putting it on my 2g. Would I run into any problems puttin a 1g head on a 2g? Also what is recomended that I do with a head with bent valves. I know the obvious of replacing the valves but I was also thinking about stripping it down getting it port and polished and buying all new internals. Sound like a good idea? Or am I just throwing mu money away?

you are throwing money away, since theres no evidence that shows that one is better than the other

dont worry about a port and polish, those are pretty useless. you can build your head in a weekend.

Yea but what I wanted to do was buy cams here valves here and just add to it slowly so once im finally done i just throw the head on and everything will all be fresh. Isnt the exhaust side bigger on a 1g too?

If you plan to throw a 1g head on a 2g block, you have to drill the block out for the headstuds. If he gave you the head, I guess just send the head off somewhere to have it checked to make sure everything is straight with it. Buy the parts for the head then have everything done at 1 time.

Drilling holes in the 7 bolt block doesnt even sound like its worth it. Dont you think John?
