ok now please nobody come in here and make fun of the reliability....ill just say, they are touchy, but if you do it right, they are reliable. now, they are good for making power and handling it easily, assuming you are getting a 4g63 eclipse. if its a 420a eclipse someone else needs to chime in about reliability

Its hard to find a one but find a virgin 4g63 man. Try to get something that hasn't been modded. And then mod it your self. Cuz you don't wanna mess with other peoples headaches...

Honestly there very good cars. The people that have reliability issues with them are those that pretend to be mechanics and have no clue what the hell they are doing. There not as forgiving as Hondas meaning there very touchy. If you buy one have all work done by a professional aka "BROTHERS" not someone that says they know what there doing but has no shop or proof of the acheivements or accomplishments and can't back up or warrenty there work!

i second that i like my car..one thing though..you will never be as close to a car as you would when you own a dsm..im a mechanic now!!lol..and it will turn you into one too..right now im looking into a 2.4 liter swap..youll love it..

Na, I'm straight I love helping people, but sometimes these comments about reliability gets the best of me. I'm still learning and have been working on these cars for 8yrs now. I have yet to have a reliability issue with any out of the 7 I have owned.

If u go with people that know what their doing when it comes to dsm's like the "BROTHERS" ftw... but they are very good cars they just have some problems other cars dont have but u will find that with any car..
