i got a 96 420 and no matter how many times i change the egr valve it still has the same idle problems, a friend suggested to take off the cat converter, and another friend suggested to take the egr valve and block off the holes.
can anybody help me on this?

 

Sure its not a vaccum line within the egr emissions system itself could be leaking?

if the hose is hooked up wrong or has a crack it will idle like a camed v8. trust me

 

i've check everything and is not crack or hooked up wrong and nothing is leaking.

 

Is your check engine light (CEL) on?
