Where the hell are the timing marks on a 2G? (7 bolt) Haynes manual says they are on the cam gears but im not seeing anything. Need to know so i can get my timing issue worked out. Thanks.

 

which timing, valve timing, or ignition timing? ignition timing, the mark is on the crank pulley or underdrive pulley. you will see numbers and markings on the bottom timing belt cover above the harmonic balancer/ud pulley. valve timing, there are marks on the cams, little notches you have to look for , you will see them, just look hard. thats what they look like and you need to line them up like this

 

Thanks a lot, i saw a little notch on one of the cam gears but i wasnt sure if it was supposed to be there or not.
