well my car is not turning over. it tries to but the brass box located under the stereo is clicking badly . what is the box and what would cause it to go bad ??????

brass box? you mean the ecu?

90 talon tsi.......... under stereo and beind the dash/ midle console piece. infront of ecu. what r somethings that could make it go bad ????

Relays go bad with time. Yours is probably 17 years old.

thats for the fuel pump relay. get another one, theres millions of them in the junkyards.
