Default throttle cable

is there a way to adjust the throttle cable? or, how hard would it be to remove the cruise control? my problem is, aside from others, my throttle plate stays open a little bit. i can close it all the way by hand, but when i give it gas, it stays open just a tiny bit, like the cable is a liiiittle too tight. when i take the how throttle body off, the plate snaps shut easily and stays shut. could this also be a spring issue?

After you clean the throttle body loosen the bolts on the intake manifold to loosen the cable. if you don't want power steering buy a non-cruise control throttle cable and change them out.
