so yesterday, the starter was turning really slowly, then everytime i started the car it seemed to get slower and slower and now it wont turn or click or anything. i can still push start the car fine, and all the electronics turn on no problem, its not a battery problem or anything. the starter does turn when i hook a jumper to the battery, but turns REALLY slowly. i put in a new battery, and it started once and then thats it. does that sound like a starter issue?

 

possibly... sounds like a battery to me but since you already x'ed that off the list pull the starter off and take it up to advance and have them check it for free!

well, it wasnt even clicking, i took it out and hooked a battery charger to it, it moves in and out, but wont spin at all.

 

check your terminals bro.

 

umm, i just hooked a jumper pack to it and it didnt spin...id say the solenoid is bad or somethin.

 

are you sure your jumping the starter correctly, one post locks out the bendix, the other rotates it. connecting them both operates the starter like normal lol. but yeah,if the starters ok, id go with a battery too.

 

i just put in a new battery to make sure, everything turns on normally, and i can listen to the radio and turn up the sound system, it would at least be clicking if it were the battery. i connected both terminals and it didnt spin. is there a certain way i am supposed to jump it that i dont know?
