so i got the car to hold 26psi, got my a.f at 11.4, and my timing is at 22 degrees. im guessing its puttin down like 370hp, cause it feels really NICE! 3rd gear gets some nasty torque steer, i didnt get to race anyone tonight cause there were cops everywhere, but im really happy with this 16g amazing little turbo. i think its time for a 20g though.

daamn i only had my 16g at 23lbs.makes me wonder why i never tried that. I just installed an mls gasket and arp head studs im hoping to boost in your range with my 20g well i was hoping for like 28-30psi. but i know somethings gonna break

on the way back last night i blew the head gasket,i took a couple of cars after the cop incident,srt4,evo9,wrx and i dont know if jason tried racing me or not

Ahh nice, but if I was you I really wouldnt worry about a 20g. You will be done with that turbo as quick as you were with the 16g. I would look into getting a 60 trim with a mitsu hotside. Turbo will be big enough to make great top end but will also have the spool and street ability almost like a 16g with the mitsu exhaust housing on it. Thats just my opinion, if you ever look into the efficeny (sp) map on a 20g its not much better then a 16g. And I think that it only flows maybe 35cfm`s more too. If im wrong someone please chime in. I strictly going off memory of what I read a couple of years ago. Didnt verify.

 

oh well, i want something thats gonna give me another 100hp from my big 16g. sal, you still raced some cars after you left that night?! haha, i mean crap 4 of our freinds got pulled over for street racing, but it sounds like they should be able to get off since they didnt have any evidence. glad i didnt run dan lol.

 

Welcome to one of the few who push a 16g to what its good for. The 20g is not a huge upgrade but a very good one. I was happy with the 16g on the blue car and very happy I upgraded to a 20g. Crossing the 20g line is a big no-no in my book. I have seen nothing but failed setups and headaches and no real track improvements over a good 16g setup. Take seven years of high hp dsm advice for what its worth. Careful what you ask for, you may not get it.
