sputtering
My buddy's eclipse is sputtering when he tries to push half way on the gas, then gives a little back fire. Now it does still have bad gas in it and it is throwing a check engine light. We had it hooked up to a computer and said it was bad mass air flow sensor. We had to disconnect the safc because with it the car wouldn't run at all. Does this sound right?

did you have the afc set to karman? do you have a hacked or stock maf? are you tuned right? it could be a lot of things besides just the maf. what happens when you start boosting?
