I was driving down Nebraska Ave today in Palm Harbor and noticed a silver Evo 5 going the other direction. It had a big ass front mount and an aftermarket exhaust I couldnt tell what kind I couldnt get a good look. Looked like a guy in his mid 20's or so just wondering if you're on here.

 

It was probably a Mirage with the Evo 5 appearence (ex. body kit, emblems, markings, etc.) more then likely a 1.5 or 1.8 boosted unless they did an engine swap. If it was a real one then cool but a rare find.

Almost 100% sure this was NOT a mirage. It was a guy driving this one not a girl. If I see it again I will snap a couple pics.

 

It could be a Mirage though. If it has all the Evo 5 asthetics including the truck with trunk reflectors and all you can be fooled for sure. Unless of course its RHD then it can't be a Mirage.

 

A Mirage, has the engine swap... the body kit... the evo trunk with reflectors and all.

Had a friend in Orlando that had a Blue Mirage with everything converted to Evo 5 besides the LHD to RHD conversion.

The car you speak of may be a Mirage. The 2 I posted are coupe's though. A genuine Evo 5 I believe only came in sedan like the rest of the Evo's. The coupe's across sea's are Mirage's and came with a MIVEC engine.

I'm not doubting you Chris but anyone can take a Mirage and make it look like an Evo 5. Evo 5 GSR is my favorite Evo out of all the generations.

This was a 4 door and this is the only time I have seen it since I lived here ( 2 1/2 years)

 

that was probally me , I live close to palm harbor and used to work in that area ! the car is sold now but it was fun while it lasted!!

 

i saw the same car. i saw an older lady driving it i believe, it looked real but i dont think it was RHD and it even had the ralliart mud flaps! yea it had the fmic and everything 4dr spoiler kit everything it looked real but prolly a fake
