We are trying to find out, do they make a block guard for this motor? I know they make them for hondas and nissans. Incase i am using the wrong name they are the rings that go around the sleves. Your one to talk with a 1.8L.

There's a site that will be posted up by someone as soon as they read this ( I don't have the link at the moment).

Now what exactly do you mean by block guards? Are you talking about sleeving the block?

LMAO dont beleve everything you read. It is an iron block, there are no sleeves. For the record the site you speak of is vfaq.com.

My post was in response to the fact that he states that his buddy is building a stroker motor and they are trying to find a block guard. I f he is building the motor should he not already atleast something basic as to the type of block is used in these motors?

There is a site on turboing 4g64's, it wasn't listed on VFACK last time I went on there, but they may have listed it now.

That is why I was asking him what he meant... I still don't understand what the guy means. Piston rings? stroker 4g64? Why not just stroke the 63 and make better, reliable power?

4g64 FTL.

No a block guard stabilizes the sleeves in an open block so they do not move under load. And, now that I think of it, I have not been on VFAQ.com in a few years so who knows. But there is a site and I can not think of the address off hand either.

4G64's are still FTL though.
