ok so i had a 6bolt put in my automatic 97gst and they were test driving it before they gave it back to me and now for some reason it doesnt go in reverse what could this be????

Did you sign something saying they are allow to test drive your vehicle? Who did the swap?

 

drivin concepts did it and they cant figure out why it wont go in reverse

 

check where the cable attaches to the selector on the tranny it has a slot for adjustment...

 

did it do it all of a sudden or it happened after the swap?

 

it went into the shop with a blown 7bolt n before it blew it would go in reverse fine there was nothing wrong with the tranny and after they did the swap now it wont go in reverse... i been lookin on some sites and i found something called a IPT 6-Bolt Engine to 2G Adapter i dont know if thats what i need when i do that kinda swap or if they hooked something up wrong but its bull shit ill tell u that

 

someone also said i might have to clean my valve body or sumthing on the tranny
