Default need a couple things cleared up for 91 to 90 awd tranny swap

I have a 90 awd talon (5 speed), putting in a 91 awd tranny. I have the 91 tranny, t-case, and complete shifter unit minus the cables. I hear I can use my old cables but Im confused what years bracket and lever I need, and which shifter is the best to use with what combination of parts? Sorry, first dsm and Im already neck deep.

You need the shifter and shifter assembly from a 91.
The cables are the same.

You can also use the 90 shift levers from the 90 tranny. Install them on the 91 trans. It is difficult to get the roll pins out though. this is the hocus pocus way. make the 91 tranny look like the 90.

thanks guys, I think ill just use all the 91 stuff since I have it all anyways. But to hit the last nail on the coffin, I CAN use the 91's shift lever still, as long I use the 91 bracket?

You have to use the 91 shifter with the 91 bracket.
