i have looked thru the factory service manual, haynes manual, and alldata, and nothing can help me. theres a ring that goes behind the main seal and against the engine block. theres 4 legs that are around it, i just dont know which way they are supposed to go. like is there a specific way they are supposed to be lined up with anything? http://www.slowboyracing.com/more.php?id=3763&

 

That hole on the ring faces down I believe...

 

I did the main seal on my 6bolt and in my Tech manual it says the hole goes in the 6 o'clock position.
