For a 1g:

-Remove the A/C control bezel
-Remove the Gauge cluster and bezel
-*optional* Remove steering wheel (makes it a lot easier, though)
-Remove all the bolts and screws that hold it in (including gauge sh*t that needs the retaining clips "popped").
-Unplug sh*t plugged into chassis wiring harness

I've only sat in a 2g three or four times. So, I've no idea.

Are there speaker grills in the dash? Does that panel come off? On a 1g, you have to remove that to get to the two bolts that attach the dash to the chassis up top.

Was it a pain to do? What was the estimated time of removal? Can you post some information on what all you did? Let me know. Thanks!

i removed all the bolts underneath the dash 2 under steering wheel, 2 behind glove box, 2 in the middle...disconnected the ac controls, radio, gauges....behind the tweeter covers there are 2 bolts that have to be removed... remove the 2 bolts on the upper part of the steering column and lower the steering whell to the floorboard (this is for easy dash removal... after all that the dash comes loose pull it foward about 6 inch's and make sure all wires are disconnected and the dash will come right out.... it took a total of about 45min but it took me about an hour and a half because of the random beers..... otherwise it was cake

i also picked up some dupli-color vinyl and plastic spray paint and started to spray the dash and trim pieces....when doing the apply thin/light coats about 4 does the trick let it tack up inbetween coats.... after this the painting is done and let it dry after about 2 hrs dry time you can clean it with any interior clean (STP, armoral, etc. ) and its just like a factory dash...will post pics at a later date.....

2G dashes are fun to take out and put in. It made me feel like a real mechanic!
