Default another dumb question

how many extra psi of boost can you add to a 97 gsx/t-25 with out a safc or dsm link ect. i have a 3'' down pipe , no cat and a 3'' cat back...

just a boost controler?

you know , just turn up the boost with no extra fuel control.

I would just go rougly 2-3 psi higher at most, over stock.

Anything more, the turbo is just going to spike and drop in pressure (the turbo is just too small and literally runs out of breath). Any higher than 2-3 psi, you're just putting unnecessary strain on the compressor and prematuring it's life.

If you want to boost harder, get a larger compressor, fuel, and the necessary management tools and gauges.

Anytime bro.

I'm assuming the 3000GT VR4 was modified? The stock turbos on VR'4s were either TD04 9b’s or TD04 13G’s, not 16G's.

Kevin, next time we meet up, bring that turbo with you so that I can identify what you have.

15 PSI is what I would run. From personal experience it really didn't make that much of a difference. You can actually run that kind of boost without the boost controller. all you have to do is take the inside restrictor of the stock boost solenoid.

15 psi I think anything higher then that without supporting mods (fuel mods and such) will result in fuel cut.
