whos DSM is really that unreliable?


I'm not talking about cars that are raced 24/7 or modded to all hell and not maintained.

I found that I keep up with the car it treats me fine.. no real mechanical problems at all with this car.. everytime it broke or did not run right it was because of my own fuck up. I'm going on 4k miles w/zero problems or 4 months.. not one problem that wasnt created by myself..

btw my car has 129k on motor and tranny and the motor blows 150-160 across the board comp. Leaks not a drop of oil and really doesnt consume any either

my transmission is doing good althrough 3rd is starting to grind but thats my own doing.. I broke a T56

 

Mine's reliable and I plan on keeping it that way. The 91 TSI I had was unreliable. Was more off road then on the road but it got some good races in while it was running.

 

They are just like anything else.
The faster you make it the more chance it will break.

 

i say your right on this one. in alabama a good friend of mine has a 99 gst and beats on it daily and has it as a daily driver. the car has a 16g, evo fmic, 3" turbo back, 1st gen intake mani and tb, plugs, wires, afc2.. with 140k on it and runs better than any car that i have seen in a long time

Yes stock and untampered with they aren't unreliable but lets race it.. Hondas are relaible but our cars are just so much more complicated so it's easier to screw up something

 

this coming from the guy who every other week has a post about wtf is wrong with my car..... lol....sometimes the truth hurts
