Well in that case I need to research more on this. I'm a noob when it comes to nitrous.

no offense.. but I'd ditch the nitrous route and go straight to turbo..

why run a 100shot to just keep up with a GST/GSX w/ bolt ons?

hell I'll run you when you throw that shot on there

100hp but alot more torque.. btw

100 shot takes some tuning on a 420a plus you have to dial in the timing blah blah. Heard the safest to run without messing with timing and all would be a 35 shot which to me is weak.
stock 420A 9.6:1 compresion = 140ish BHP (depends on how healthy the motor is)
Stock 420A 9.6:1 + stage 2 turbo = 220 - 260 BHP
Stock 420A 9.6:1 + stage 2 turbo + 35 shot = 255 - 295 BHP or BOOM whichever comes first.

I heard 420a's love nitrous. Easier route to go with instead of spending $2,000-$3,000 on a complete brand new turbo kit from HRC.

Whats the difference between the Dodge Neon RT cams and the 420a cams? Did you do anything specifically with the timing? Were those the only 2 mods you had... cams and 100 direct port nitrous?

Back in the day when I had a 99 anniversery gs, I ran a 150shot wet kit on it and it was fast as hell. I did have work done though, it had every bolt on you can think off plus a bull frog head package with cams, and je pistons, I think the rods where stock don't remember. That car beat every GST in Spring Hill back in those days! Then I eventually ate a spark plug which broke a valve

Good info!... I like more information on this and people's experiences. Instead of people telling me oh you can only run a 35 shot without retarding the timing or some crap like that.

yea the timing wasn't touched however I do believe those pistons lowered the compression down to 9.2:1 so I bet that took care of any timing issues. Back then there wasn't to many internals available for the car. I would say to anyone running nos that a good combo would be!

Bull frog head package and cams
defenantly some ferrara valves
9.2:1 comp pistons
stock rods will do but for boost I'd get eagles
The stock injectors will be fine for 150 shot nos wet system...if boost I'd upgrade
DC header and Greddy exh. with test pipe, and cold air intake.

If I didn't flip the car I would have eventually upped the shot to a 200 shot! When I flipped the car, the girl I was currently with at the time and I went out and bought a 2001 Teg Type R and a si blue prelude which I boosted for a short time. Got rid of that in favor of a GSX and H22 hatch. It just kept getting better

Haha nice. Well I'm getting a free 420a block in good condition. I'm friends with a guy in Orlando and he said I could have it as long as I pick it up. So atleast I'll have something to start my build with. Boost on the 420a is the way to go but its a arm and a leg to get it there and keep going with it. I don't want to wait yrs to get there. Its a plan in the future once my student loan and what not is paid off. So for now the nitrous is a alternative to have some fun with other DSMs.
