Problems
Well, hows it goin everyone, im kind of new here, i've been on TR a while but havent posted in like 9 months so i figured i would re-introduce myself... My name is Tyler, i drive a 95 eclipse with a 6-bolt and lots of mods... i also like long walks on the beach, kittens and puppies, romantic candle light dinners and did i mention im a scorpio?? lol j/k but anyways i need some help and i was told by a few friends you guys were the ones to come too... something is up with my tps, if i drive in 5th gear for like 1 minute at any speed over 60, my car throws a code, and its like it cuts down to 2 cylinders and goes completely lean...?? but if i push the clutch in and it idles for a sec it goes away but comes back a few minutes later if not sooner.....?? If i unplug the tps it doesnt happen... i just dont know what to do, any ideas would be great, just pm me or post.. thanks everyone...

no no no, its the random 6 bolt missfire, your gonna need dsmlink or the tps barometer mod(which ive heard some bad, but personally havent had any trouble). i dropped it down to 4th and boosted it and it went away for a while once.

theres no easy way to fix this besides dsmlink, a potentiometer on the barometer wire leans out the engine, It involves taking a Radio Shack style volume knob and manipulating the
barometric/atmospheric signal to the ecu. You can lean out an
engine this way and fry it. TPS disconnect is better temporary mod to get the RM to go away. DSMLink is a much better solution that most importantly gives you the ability to tune your car.
temporary solution.... .the cure is DSMLink...the temp. solution for it is pull the TPS
sensor...you'll probably get crappy gas mileage but it beats pulling over
and reseting the
ECU...hope this helps

if you have an safc use a map sensor to replace the tps so you can still have a high and low throttle setting, except it will be controlled by boost
