Default Overdrive issues...

Well finally the car decided to become retarded on me, I have issues with my overdrive.

Ok, so when I'm driving the first 3 gears shift nice and smooth and perfect, but when the car goes into overdrive it just free revs in 4th gear, which is weird since it was fine until a couple of days ago, I haven't driven it much since it only is running with the 3 gears and I don't drive far to get to school.

Anyone know what the problem could be? Maybe something loose in the tranny? All the other gears are fine, just 4th gear doesn't go in, it just shifts and free revs like its in neutral, so no O/D for me.

DAMN SPYDER

Seriously, someone give me $3,000 and its theirs

sounds like it may have been ran low on fluid, and a couple of bands burned up.
You need to(as long as its not yur valve body, fluid level,or cooler) rebuild your transmission.while your at it,replace your front pump seal and torque converter.
that should do her.

sounds like what happened to my tranny, but it was 3rd, not 4th. Turnes out to be a solenoid clogged up and from there it got worse.... You'll probbly need a rebuild.

Ugh, no more rebuild, tranny has been rebuilt twice it just keeps failing for some reason, and by reputable rebuilders.

The car has never been ran low on ANY fluids, I always check my fluid levels every weekend before I go out anywhere, I have an oil leak now but its because my oil pan bolt gaskets are all cracked up, anyone know where I can get another bolt?

Damn this car to hell.

$2500 OBO and its yours, rebuild the motor/tranny and boost it, I'm done with Mitsubishis until I can get my hands on an EVO.

I'll try that... hopefully its nothing too big, if it still is crapped out I'll drop the tranny when I pick up my new car.
