Default 16g question

on the 16g in a 2g can you do eliminate the coolant lines on the turbo.I would think it would be better since it puts hot coolant back into the head when you need it cool as can be.

yes you can get rid of them, as long as you let the turbo cool down for atleast an extra minute or so depending on driving.

Personally hot coolant would be the least of my worries. People have been doing it for years without any problems why change just to save a little heat from the block? With them you are ensuring the longevity of your turbo.

Do what you think is best.

I agree with SLOWBOST, the engine needs as much cool coolant as possible, and plus the water system was made for people that turn off their cars too early and that was an extra helping method to protect the turbo from serious damage. I have an EVO III 16g and I plugged the holes, and running straight oil...I have it cooled for like 2 minutes after a good run.

It doesnt matter either way.
You certainly arent harming anything by leaving the coolant lines on the turbo.

I am running my car with out coolant lines and have had no problems with it at all. I have upgraded three turbos since I have taken off the lines. It is just less stuff to throw back on the car when you reinstall the turbo.
