People have made 700+hp with dsm link. But if you are comfortable with the aem by all means get one. They are great if you can tune it.

Its nice when they arent DD. You can push them and if they break. Fuck it. Put it in the garage and fix it your spare time.

DSMlink IMO is the best thing to happen to the DSM community in the past few years. Most of the benefits of a standalone with few of the drawbacks. When V3 comes out I'm sure the gap will be drawn even closer. The only real drawback with DSMlink I can see is it can only do RPM-based tuning and not load based.

thats my whole idea i am keeping the 420a for being the DD car and the dsm as a weekend car
well the money it would cost me to get a 95 ecu would be 250ish...then buying the dsmlink software kit...550ish...close to 800 bucks....might a well pay a little more and get a whole standalone...besides i was going to download the brothers dd map they had set for their car cause im going to try and have my setup as close to there's was...

just dont let your battary die out
or kiss your tune good bye
nah but they are both ok but aem is far more advance than dsmlink IMO

Not to knock dsmlink. its good for what it is. but I would choose ecu+ or e-manage before using a the link. load based control is very important for good streetability.
tuning points:
dsmlink=16 points
ecu+, 32 points at 4 load points=128 points
e-manage (old blue case) ,16 points at 16 load points=256 points
I think what has made dsmlink so popular is its ease of use and stellar support.

yeah but you cant watch timing on the emanage. Thats why AEM > all maybe the new ultimate will be better. We can try that too.
