alright this is sort of hard to explain but I was wondering what exactly does the limits of a intercooler go by.

I was under the impression that the stock smic can only cool like 15psi. Atleast thats what I was told by somebody that told me thats all I should push on it.. T25 or not.

Wouldnt 15psi from a 16g be differnet then what is coming from a T25? So if 15psi is safe for the T25 how is it safe for a 16g without major heatsoak?

Heat soak owns SMIC. Get a front mount intercooler, upgrade your turbo, get a mbc, boost gauge, yaddie yaddie ya and be happy. Everyone has been trying to tell you this for months. It takes no genius to upgrade simple things on these cars. They make bigger turbos, they make bigger intercoolers, they have aluminum intercooler pipes, they have manual boost controllers to raise/lower boost, etc. Common sense post whore.

I ran 15psi on a small 16g on the TSI I had with a stock SMIC... no problems.

 

I got all of those..


gauges, mbc, downpipe back exhaust.. it was theory question.

all I can do is laugh at you. First your waiting on your mbc to get here, so technically you don't have one. A cat-back exhaust is no where mentioned above in what I typed. Over my head? Learn what the meaning of heatsoak is and how it occurs before posting a dumbass question

i understand this site is where you would ask to get help but if you can help yourself by reading and looking it up urself it would be much easier imo then waititng for someone to give u a smart-ass remark because they're tired of anwsering the same question over and over and over again....
