Default Starting to think i should have bought a Honda.

Its always something with my car, anyway, i have a problem. I just put a new FMIC and piping on this weekend. When i go to test drive it to make sure everything it working smoothly, it doesnt wanna run right. It fires up and idles wonderful now, and when its in neutral and im not moving i can rev very smooth and as high as i want with no problems. But, when i put in in gear and start moving, when i let off the gas pedal the RPMs drop way down near 100 - 200, and bounces back up to normal, or it drops so low that it stalls. It feels like the exact same symptoms as when you dont have your recirc tube connected. And its not the intercooler becuase i had to go somewhere when i was half way through the install and i still had the stock sidemount connected and it did the same thing. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks for any help.

is the bov faulty? maybe needing of some adjustment? maybe try ricirculating the air back into the engine to see if it could be a faulty bov... just some sugestions and hell, i suck with turbo setups. ask brothers or lancerman by pm.

BOV shouldnt be faulty, worked fine before i put the intercooler on. Ive always had it recirculated so that isnt the problem.

I wasnt serious about getting a honda, i love my baby and would never give her up. I dont think having somebody do it would have avoided the problem. the installation is pretty simple. Went back today and took off some of the piping and reconnected to make sure everything was tight and secure and still the same problem. Maybe tomorrow ill take everything off and return it to stock and see if there is still a problem. i really dont want to do that and im pretty sure its nothing to do with the intercooler or piping, its all solid and tight.

you made a change to the car and now its not running right. 99% of the time it is something you did wrong. most likely a boost leak or vacume line disconected.

I completely agree that when you make a change and it doesnt run right youve most likely done something wrong. But i am almost positive i didnt do anything wrong, it not exactly like i tore the engine apart and tried to piece it back together, just replaced intake piping and some couplers and clamps, not exactly rocket science. All vaccum lines are connected and i didnt find any boost leaks when i tested it. Decided to take the car on the road a lil and see it driving on it a little would change anything. Sometimes it seemed a little worse and sometimes it was almost gone.

Just go over everything with a fine tooth comb and make sure everything is connected. It may seem that you installed everything correctly, but you may have boost leaks. I would do a boost leak test just to be certain.
