4g64 help

Default 4g64 help

quick question can the 4g64 engine be turboed?.......meaning is there a turbo kit out there for it cuz i cant seem to find one

i turboed mine with pretty good success. The dohc head is gonna limit your power output though. The head becomes inefficient around 17~19lbs of boost.

If you have a 2G spyder you can do a head swap from a 2G 4G63.... You can also use the same trubo setup from a 2G GST/X

so just get a 4g63 head and then a gst turbo kit?

2g head,intake manifold, 450cc innjectors(stock gst/gsx injectors), 2g exhaust manifold with t-25 or 14b...downpipe and exhaust and some kind of ic pipping...

are you sure it isn't the 420A.....99 eclipse GS?

Spyders came in a GS edition as well and those have the 4g64.

Yep.

I was gonna boost mine but I'm undecided since I'm driving an autotragic. I'm thinking of just buying either another GS in 5-speed and boosting it using above site or just buying a GST, leaning more towards the GST Spyder though.

Gotta rep the drop top Mitsu's in Borelando.

Hit me up sometime on AIM, its not hard to boost the 4g64 and I have a guy that could probably get you parts for a good price.
