New project car, 1994 3000GT
I have owned a 2003 Honda Civic for two years and decided to grab a project car that I could work on without having to worry about realibility. A friend recently purchased a new CTS when his 3000GT started having transmission problems (ATX) and offered to car to me basically free.
The first step is getting to car to my house, he lives in valrico and I live in lakeland (about 18miles apart) , I was looking at renting a UHAUL dolly for $40 (2hours) because I have access to a truck but the option of just having someone tow it doesnt seem bad, any idea what the cost would be to tow a car 18 miles? (I was thinking maybe ~$60)
Next I have to decide if I want to replace the tranny, have it rebuilt, or go for a manual swap.. right now they are all options it just depends on what comes around, and the pricing, I really dont want to spend $3000 on a transmission for a 12 year old car.
The color is green and it has around 150,000 miles.
Hope it is a fun project!

Depends on who you call for the tow. Just the hookup alone is $50-$100 and its probably $2/mile or more.

Fix it up for cheap, sell it, then get a real project.
The VR4 came auto also,i had a tranny for it and gave it away 4 months ago.You should be able to find one for a reasonable price...but building it is another story.I have 12k in my motor, and if i would of put that in a 240 or something i would be pulling wheel stands throught 1st and 2nd.They are indeed great cars this is my second one im on now. They are really heavy like 3800 lbs,but if you have alot of cash you can make it really fast.Jay
