Default Exhaust wrap?

I have never really seen anyone use it on a stock manifold? Is there a reason why or they just dont want to spend the money on it. I was thinking instead of having it powdercoated, I would just wrap it and even if they gains are slight, I like the way it looks.

Thoughts? Opinions? Yay? Nay? Free post?

Discuss.

I'm going to be wrapping the turbo manifold I'm putting on my car. I don't know about powder coating but I know Dick on here spent some money to get his cermanic coated and its chipping.

If you are refering to the exhaust manifold I am pretty sure you cant powder coat it.

Naturaly I dont mean you literaly cant powder coat it. You cant powder coat it and expect it to stay with that much heat. I guess I need to be more clear for some.

Sorry I meant ceramic coating it. I was not thinking.

As long as there are no adverse effects, which I dont think there are, of wrapping it, I might as well go ahead and do it.

Well ceramic coating might not last and might begin to chip. PM Dick and see what he has to say about it. He's had his done and its chipping.

Thats cause he had a shitty job done. Ive had many parts on my cars ceramic coated with no problems, even exhaust on bikes. Jet hot is better than ceramic coating, and has been around forever to prove itself.

+1 jet hot is the shit. and if you want, you can do both and reduce even more of the heat. and also the coating is relatively cheap. you would probably spend as much money on the wrap than you would just coating it.
