ok so... im tired with vtec, i've gone rotary and it drained my pockets... im looking for something new to try... i was going through a motor sale site and i saw the engine code for the old ugly ass mitsu mirgae... 4g61 and im guessing its the 4g63t gay ass cusin.... my question is... whats the diference between these motors? im not intrested in the 61 internals or nothimg... more like motor mount location and any obvious diferences that would make a bad day... or if you know of any page... hook it up... i need something to keep me entertained...

hey hey i can answer ur question the only difference between the 4g63t and the 4g61t is the 61t has a shorter stroke and a smaller bore, the 4g61t on the old mirages use the same mounts as the 63t so u can drop it right in the tranny will hold a 63t, but main difference is the 61t came with 210cc injectors, 9b turbo non-intercooled sporting about 135 hp on stock boost....but all the accessories including the head,cams,crank pistons etc are interchangable what i'm fixing to do is buy a 61t put a 14b 1gen eclipse turbo and mani on there put in 450cc injectors and I just won a bid for a galant vr4 FMIC and i have a manual BC, so the plans are intercool,upgrade,push to around 14psi and let the bitch cruise at like 240hp+
