Default problem with tranny/clutch

last week my starter went out and when i replaced it i started having problems with my clutch engaging. at first i would have to push my pedal all the way to the ground to shift. then it wouldnt go into any gears while it was on, but i could go in to all gears while the car was off. i replaced the master and slave cylinder and the pedal still wont get tight.. any suggestions?

Try adjusting your clutch pedal.
