Default I have a broke ass DSM ! woot!@

seems like every car I buy that I think is a good deal.. turns out very ugly.

the RFL bov that is on the car.. is non recirculating.. could that be my idle problem? it only happens when the cars been in boost and I come to a stop.. it jsut shuts off...

the right rear tire makes a pleasant pop.. (sounds like an axle) and it howls like a train at certain speeds..

any ideas?

this is the last time I'll buy a car off of TR.

I have the same problem but mine does it anytime i let the rpms drop from 2 grand or higher. the reason it does it is because the maf is expecting for the air to be going back in and then it gives it more fuel than it needs for the air that is actually going in the engine.

as far as the noise in the rear. Is your car allwheel drive??

My car had the same bov on it when I bought it a long time ago. The "horn" on it should unscrew. You should be able to buy a new outlet for it from TurboXS. I had a machine shop just make me a new aluminum piece. It works perfectly fine now. It'll be a lot cheaper than shelling out at least $200 for a greddy rs though unless you plan on going for more than 20psi daily. Good luck though

Recirculating is better. Venting is just showing off. Venting will cause problems such as you described... to be venting you need supporting mods inorder for it to perform correctly. Some type of piggyback, standalone, or vpc should be used if your going to be venting. On a dsm you don't gain really anything from venting. Best bet is buy a 1g bov and take that freeze plug off and recirculate. Venting may sound nice but is it really worth dealing with idle problems? I tried venting on the TSI I had and oh yeah the sound was great but the car would shut off as soon as it dropped below 2k rpms and it idled like crap. It sounded great but a crushed recirculated 1g bov sounded better... atleast to me it did.

I never had a problem with the smaller type s now with the r its horrible. I can recirculate but would be a lot of work im just going to go with aem and be done with it.

correction for the above you can have a piggy back and still have the problem. i for one have emanage. the only real solution is getting rid of the mas. either for a gm unit or with the full aem which uses speed density with a gm air intake temp sensor.
