Default Interesting Problem...

This only happens when its raining/wet. It also doesnt happen everytime I go through one, but at certain times Ill drive through a puddle and the car looses power steering and feels likes its going to stall. Today It drove fine in the rain until I was pulling in to work then it started to do it. As I parked my car it was kind of smoking from under the hood but nothing bad. I didnt have time to look since I was late and it was raining. When I went to go to lunch the car drove fine the whole time until I was heading back and it started again. No smoke this time though...

Also the engine lights come on, I.E. CEL, Oil pressure light, radiator overflow light, and sometimes they dont fully come on they will be like half lit.

Im going to check the power steering fluid and also the cooling lines are bypassed...

Any thoughts?

They need to be replaced. It also probably doesnt help that there is oil all over them too...

Guess I should have thought of that, It makes sense.

Are you saying when your axles were bad it did that in the rain?

Im going to start by just having all the accesory belts replaced, after I fix the oil leak. They sqeak and squeal to all hell.

RJ yes I need that valve cover. Ill call you this weekend or if you are going to be up this way feel free to stop by. Go put it in your car, Now.

who replaced your belts it looks like the belts are your problem they might not be getting tighten properly so when they get wet the start to slip which would cause the dash lights to come on and the power steering to get stiff also for the smoke it could of been just that you wet the exhaust with the puddle of water and was smoking.
