Default turbo timer, turn it off

you guys probly already know, but dont drive around with the turbo timer in the ready position. i usto do it all the time for convinience reasons. but never again.

one time i threw it into 2nd and got on it. when i let off the gas the car kept pullen hard on that cool morning. i thought, no big deal, i turn off the ignition, and the car keeps on pullen, Iam like, wtf, is the car possesed or s/t. then i remember the turbo timer and i hit the button, then my car makes a loud ass back fire sound, and i roll to a stop. may i add, this happen in front of a Sheriffs office, i only planned to gun it up to the speed limit of 45 mph, ends up that i go past their office in 2nd, loud ass exhaust and red lined (safc recorded like 7602 rpm), so i believe i was going between 60-70 mph (2nd gen GST)

after a couple other occations of my engine bouncing off the rev limiter from the throttle cable sticking. i loobed up the throttle cable and other throttle related stuff with some synthetic grease and havnt had a problem since.

he's saying that when he turned his ignition off to stop the car because the throttle stuck the turbo timer intitiated its countdown not allowing the car to turn off. That's funny as shit man, glad nothing bad cam out of the situation.

Oh I totally get it now... haha

But it wasnt teh turbo timer misfunctioning, just your car and the turbo timer had some effect on it

Thats pretty humerous, sticky throttle cables are never fun. I had a friend with a Mk3 supra and his would stick, hed turn the car on and the thing would just redline and then backfire and people would always stare like wtf is your problem? So he would start the car and jump out so when it did it people were like "how the hell?" haha

Well, you know that you can hook up the tt to your speedo so that when it senses any mph hour the tt would shut off. At least its like that with the greddy tt. And you can also hook it up to your e brake for secruity reasons. If brake is down timer will not run. If that doesnt help you with your problem for any future issues. lol

Ehh mine is a greddy and I dont have any of the fancy stuff, I turn the car off and it runs for 30 seconds. Never had a problem with it, most of the time I dont even bother to use it if I havent been driving hard, I guess its just there for piece of mind.

It always impressed the ladies when you get out and your car is still running and they are all like what the hell? "I drive a high performance vehicle that requries cool down time" Hook line and sinker! haha
