Default Need Advice from Dsmer's

i own a 1990 plymouth laser rs turbo fwd and just last weekend i had replaced my transmisson. it drove fine for a couple of days and while i was waiting to make a turn i coulndt get my car into any gears and i had to force it into 2nd and drove home. now sometimes the car drives fine and sometime i cant get it into any gears and even starting it in a gear it sometimes goes crazy and grinds and jerks the car. it seems like the clutch is not fully engaging. now i figured maybe theres a air buble in the clutch so i bleed the clutch yesterday and today i drove the car for a few minutes and stop at the bank and when i came out bam the car doesnt want to go into any gears and when i go into reverse it grinds. now this problems happens when the car is cold and hott. the shifter cables need to be replaced and are bad, but i know thats not the problem since it shifts in to gear when off. i bleed the clutch and the clutch and pressure plate are like 7months old. so i figure its either the throwout bearing gone bad or possibly the pressure plate and yes the clutch and pressure plat are stock replacements. sorry for making this long and any advice would be great thanks again

my :2cent:

When i developed serious difficulty shifting with my 2100 not very long after that did my TOB/PP get ripped to shreds

if you had the master/slave replaced not to long ago then this makes it easier to narrow down(check the resivoir level b4/after driving to see if it loses fluid)

look the the master cyl check for leaks on the firewall...mined leaked so bad i have a permanent stain on my floor under my pedals

jacks the car up slide under and check the slave look for excessive fluid around the immediate area...mine looked like somthing exploded under my car...this is when i had my original stock clutch...after i had my clutch/master/slave ALL replaced i put a act 2100 in...7 months down the road i develop difficulty in shifting again...i prayed on it being the hydraulic system but i ended up needing a TOB/PP...my master and slave have help up since being replaced at 70k miles

How are the shifter cables? Are they still being held in place, or are the bushings worn out or loose? Are the clips that hold the cables to the tranny mount missing? If your cables are fucked up, you wont be able to shift easily either. Or possibly your new transmission is fucked up also.

well im going out right now to see if there is any leakage at the master/slave cylinder and i will get back to yall on that. the shifter cables are crap and bushings are worn out and i am looking for some new cables or used cables in good condition if anyone has any. i dont think its the shifter cable causing me not to go into any gears since it didnt do that on my other transmission. and yes the clips are in that hold the cable to the transmission. im leaning more toward the tob/pp going bad but i hope not. any other sugestions guys would be greatly appreaciated and thanks for the advice so far thats why i like this forum people with knowledge. thanks again and Happy Thanksgiving

sorry for responding so late i just have been very busy with school and projects and finals. i did check the master and slave cylinder there is no signs of leaking. can a slave cylinder go bad that fast or does it show sign of faliure? also is there any other signs that would tell me if the pp or throwout bearing is going bad? thanks again in advance
