Sell it. Buy a factory turboed car. (Eclipse, Talon, or Laser, etc...) or plan on spending quite of bit of money to still be slow.

I think there are turbo kits available for the 4g94 you might want to PM ssp-lancer or read his thread a few down.

Gluck.

+1

It takes a lot of time and money to turbo a non turbo'd car and like Ender. said, in most cases the car will still be slow. I would either suggest swapping a 4g63 turbo in or getting a new car, that is if you want to be fast.

wants up...i'll be representing the lancer here btw the only turbo lancer in tampa and probably one of the few in the state...there is a couple of turbo's for our car...i have TSI turbo kit which needed some modifications to get installed properly...you also need to upgrade the fuel with the fuel pump and the injectors which is the problem im running into now....

as far as it being slow there is alot of potential out of the motor...dont expect to high of numbers but i plan on being max out maybe 350-375 or so when im doing with internals and all...but i got to deal from what i have.....i beat some nice cars out there inclduing a is300, s2000, vr6, and some other cars out there....

as far as kits there is actually quite a few...there is a site you can goto that has alot more info evolutionm.net i believe it is has alot....there is a tampa region post on there that is huge and u can search it there and find kits and custom turbo that people have tried out....

any more questions let me know

SO, like i said. Unless you are attached to your lancer, then go with an already turbo'd dsm.

but it all depends what you want for you car..my car is more show then anything and the fact that i have a turbo in there surprises alot of people.....if your wanting to max out at like 1000 horsepower then no dont go with the lancer and sell it b/c it wont happen....but there is alot of potential out of it...there is a lancer in i believe in NY that is running 10.7 in the 1/4

If it's your only form of transportation leave it alone.

I agree, if you depend on it, just leave it as it is now. In most cases turbocharging a non-turbo car isn't as easy as slapping on a kit and driving it with stock-like reliability and another 100 hp. You're going well outside the limits of the factory design and it causes complications. When something breaks, you'll be stuck without a ride.
